The List.

31 Jan

A few months back, we made a list of places in the US that we want to visit. It hangs on my fridge, reminding me that life is much bigger than my daily routine, tempting me to rent an RV and just start driving. Yes, some are crossed off, and Gettysburg aside, that doesn’t actually mean we’ve been there. It started as a top ten list but has devolved since…

What’s missing from our list?

If you had to pick just one, where would you go? Why?

Time to start saving our pennies for flights, food and fun!

your missing Montreal, Quebec! (I can’t say there is one great thing you must see here – although that might just be because I live here – but the culture is incredible)

Having gone to UVM in Burlington, VT, Montreal was one of our frequent getaways. Cool city, yes. Cold city, also yes. HT is partial to Canada too, so maybe we’ll have to make our way back. Thanks for the tip!

agreed – you wouldn’t have wanted to be here last week when it was -40 Celsius with the windchill 🙂 (don’t know what that is Fahrenheit)

We call that (gasp!) indoor weather. I recall a trip to Montreal with my mom in January where a fire hydrant exploded and within minutes the cobblestone street was an ice rink. That was a “drink a bottle of wine before dinner to numb the senses” kinda night. Good luck to you.

I recently moved to Colorado so Durango would be on top of my list! There are so many beautiful places to hike in Colorado.. you would love it!

But I would love to visit Alaska and Wyoming one day too!

    All the best!

You are missing Jackson, WY! You guys would love it up there! It’s beautiful! There are tons of incredible hiking spots and the Tetons are an incredible sight! The town is great, it has unique character and tasty restaurants. Plus you can go to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone.

Durango should be put back on your list! We could go this summer.

If I had to choose one off of your current list, I would have to go with Alaska! I’d love to get up there!

    Time to start saving!
